Hillwalking Radio Club was formed in 2010 to provide safety communications for outdoor events across the Galtee mountains and it's environs. We are fully licensed by COMREG and all our members are trained as Community First Responders. Our club is built on the strength of volunteers, the support of our community and friendships we have built up over the years.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to our Starlight and Lantern Walks in Galbally in aid of Ballylanders Special Needs Association What a turn out, thanks to everyone who brought goodies, refreshments and home baking. Thanks to the Morning Ramblers and Mary Ellen for helping with the catering. To those who helped with registration, the posters, Mary T Lane and her Footsteps in the Hills walking Group. We were just blown away by your generosity, thank you for all the lovely comments and to the die hards who come and take the photos every year. Having Darby's Bed lit up with Christmas lights, singing Silent Night really added to the atmosphere. The Christmas Cheer on the Lantern Walk really added flavour to this event. Singing at the Crib made by Galbally Mens Shed. Caroling on the trails was a magical vibe. It was a privilege to support this young vibrant organisation who plan to bring 10 people with special needs to Lourdes in June.
