Hillwalking Radio Club was formed in 2010 to provide safety communications for outdoor events across the Galtee mountains and it's environs. We are fully licensed by COMREG and all our members are trained as Community First Responders. Our club is built on the strenght of volunteers, the support of our community and friendships we have built up with other clubs and organisations.
In May 2024 we were able to purchase a new Defibrillator, new waterproof radios and have all our members upskilled in basic life saving skills. We rely on contributions from indivudals, Clubs and organisations to purchase waterproof clothing, first aid supplies, purchase radio equipment and pay our insurance. We are grateful to all of you for for your continued support and please use the DONATE button or the QR Code in the drop down menu if you want to make a financial contribution.

So many to mention, The Morning Ramblers who looked after the catering, registration and the raffle Joe O Brien who took the photos, all those who travelled long distances to support us and everyone who donated and sponsored spot prizes. Your contributions to our voluntary group have been invaluable, and we're deeply appreciated. We're blown away by your generosity, thank you for being an amazing partner on the day.
